One UI 6.1 Will Offer Several AI-Powered Features Along with a Better AI Voice Assistant
Considering how we are inching closer to 2024, and we will get to see the Galaxy S24 in January, it is safe to say that there are a lot of talks about these phones. The one topic that is not being talked about enough is the fact that these new smartphones will have a lot of AI capabilities.
One UI 6.1 and Exynos 2400 will make the Galaxy S24 a capable smartphone with a lot of AI-oriented features
Just look at the Exynos 2400 announcement post; you will notice how Samsung talked extensively about how the new chipset will deliver much better AI performance as compared to older chipsets. We now have news that One UI 6.1 will bring several AI-powered features, along with a digital voice assistant that will be better than Bixby, all thanks to the power of artificial intelligence.
One UI 6.1 and the Galaxy S24 series bring many new AI features, AI more powerful than Bixby, and Samsung’s largest AI update in history.
Maybe Samsung will call the Galaxy S24 an AI phone.— ICE UNIVERSE (@UniverseIce) October 9, 2023
Now, the most interesting thing here is the fact that teh source reveals that the Galaxy S24 could be marketed as an AI phone to begin with. This would make sense since we have been hearing for some time how next year's flagship smartphones will have a lot of focus on AI. Now, as far as the One UI 6.1 update is concerned, I am not sure if it will actually offer the same feature set to older devices. However, if the AI features that Samsung is working on are hardware-specific, then you might not get access to these features on devices that don't have extensive AI capabilities.
Whatever the case might be, One UI 6.1 featuring AI capabilities is not something that should come as a surprise to anyone. We saw this coming from a mile away. What I am more interested in is the fact that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is also going to be featured in the Galaxy S24 devices, and I really want to see how that chipset compares in AI performance to the Exynos 2400. There are a lot of expectations from both chipsets this time around, and given Samsung's faltering track record with its in-house chips, we are not sure how this is going to play out. The one thing that we can do is wait for the official numbers to be released so we can have a better understanding.
