ANTGAMER ANT27VQ MAX Joins The List of 2K 360Hz Gaming Monitors, Packs Top Specs But Is Pricey
Diving into the specifications. the ANTGAMER ANT27VQ MAX comes with a 2K 27-inch display size featuring an IPS panel. The monitor is specifically tuned for gamers with a 360Hz refresh rate, which is well above the current industry standards. While the adoption of 360Hz monitors hasn't been widespread, it does look appealing for the eSports gaming segment which is the sole market for this monitor.
On paper, the ANTGAMER ANT27VQ MAX doesn't compromise on screen quality either since it is HDR600 certified and features a 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, which is pretty decent. Based on the images shared by the company, we can see an overall black and green color scheme, with the company's logo projection through the included stand. This is a similar approach to what we saw with ASUS's ROG monitors, and it is more of an aesthetic "gimmick", which is a method through which many companies tend to enter a certain market.
For port selection, we have support for HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, and USB interfaces. There are two HDMI 2.1, a single DP1.4, two USB 3.0, and an Audio jack on the monitor. The pre-included stand is said to feature an extensive range of "adjustments", including swivel and height, which makes the monitor a great complete package, at least from what we have seen.
Regarding price, the ANT27VQ MAX retails at 5899 yuan (at JD.com) or approximately USD $810, which is a price tag that seems to be at the "higher end." Given that ANTGAMER is a relatively new entrant in the domain, we expect competitive pricing but this isn't the case here.
