NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards are now available for almost $100 US below their MSRP in the United States.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Price Drops Continue, Now Available For Almost $100 US Below MSRP in Custom Graphics Card Flavors

Ever since its launch, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 has been considered a slightly poor value due to its higher gen-over-gen price increase. The RTX 4080 launched at an MSRP of $1199 US which is 33% higher than the RTX 3080 12 GB and 71% higher than the RTX 3080 10 GB graphics cards. With that said, the graphics card is directly competing with the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX which starts at $959 US thanks to discounts.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 has received various price cuts itself with certain models hitting 1149 USD but that's nothing compared to the deal we have today. Newegg US has now listed the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 at its lowest price yet. The graphics card, in particular, is the PNY XLR8 which has a retail listing of $1139.99 US & to make things even better, you can use the "VGAEXCAA575" promo code to slash an additional $30 US off the price bringing it down to just $1109 US. That's $90 US off the MSRP and the lowest we have seen on the card.

The -7.5% price drop is definitely awesome but to say that the card is still worth the price might be something difficult to say. You see, there are definitely advantages of buying an NVIDIA RTX 4080 graphics card such as its amazing efficiency, faster raytracing performance, and support for DLSS 3 which outclasses AMD's FSR 2 but at the same time, AMD's card which is priced at $150 US lower has more VRAM and can deliver faster rasterization.

Both cards offer some of the fastest gaming & graphics performance within the latest AAA titles but vendor-specific optimizations matter a lot. So far, NVIDIA has the widest suite of titles that support its RTX and DLSS technologies while AMD has been playing catch up.
