Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Weighs in the Biggest on Xbox Series X|S; Platform Download Sizes Revealed

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty weighs in the 'biggest' on Xbox Series X|S, CD Projekt Red has revealed.

Ahead of the release of Cyberpunk 2077's expansion tomorrow, CDPR's Global Community Director, Marcin Momot, has taken to Twitter to reveal the download sizes for the expansion on each platform. As it turns out - Phantom Liberty clocks in the biggest on Microsoft's consoles, while the PC expansion is the 'smallest' of the bunch.

On Xbox Series X|S, Phantom Liberty weighs in at 38GB. Those on PlayStation 5 are required to download 33GB of new data. Meanwhile, on PC, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty clocks in at 24GB.

Quite the update for sure, and while download sizes don't necessarily confirm anything about duration, it's interesting to see how the file size of Phantom Liberty relates to the main game. For reference, the download size of the PC and PS5 versions of Cyberpunk 2077 requires roughly 55GB, whereas the Xbox Series versions require around 60 GB.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty releases globally tomorrow for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. As can be read in our PC analysis article from last week, the expansion is the most visually appealing and technically advanced PC game to date with Path Tracing and DLSS 3.5 ( this also applies to the free 2.0 update that Cyberpunk 2077 received last week).

Here's what we wrote about Phantom Liberty in our review of the expansion last week:
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty builds upon what was an already great game to deliver more fantastic storytelling (with a spy thriller theme, this time around), exciting combat, and very high-quality side content", we wrote. "The perk tree overhaul is a major improvement to progression, and additions like vehicle combat and the overhauled police system are very welcome, albeit not game-changing. If you've been holding out on Cyberpunk 2077 until now, you'll find a huge game with over 120 hours of quality content and an incredibly immersive game world to literally lose yourself in. On top of that, it's by far the most beautiful and technically advanced game available if you have the hardware for it (PC and RTX 40 GPU)."
