Summer Game Fest 2023 will Feature 40+ Game Companies; Showcase Begins on June 8

Gaming showcases can come around often. Sometimes they focus on a single developer (like Capcom’s Spotlight event from March), or they can center on a singular platform (think PlayStation’s State of Play). June is one of those months with a relatively high amount of announcements. This is thanks to the Summer Game Fest, an event hosted by Geoff Keighley (of The Game Awards fame). 2023's edition of Summer Game Fest will feature a plethora of partners who are going to bring announcements.

Multiple standouts exist among the forty developers coming to the Summer Game Fest. CD Projekt Red, Devolver Digital, SEGA, Square Enix, Hoyoverse, Warner Bros. Games, and more can certainly bring out new reveals, just to name a few. Notably, Nintendo is the only one missing of the “big three” platform manufacturers, as PlayStation and Xbox are scheduled to appear.

Other notable brands include Electronic Arts, Netflix, Nexon, Razer, Samsung Gaming Hub, Tribeca Festival, Steam, Epic Games, and more. This event is slated to be at the YouTube Theatre in Inglewood, California. It’s currently unknown what streaming services the show will be shown on, but we’ll update when we know. It’s certain that some highly-anticipated games will make an appearance, like Starfield.

The event has some more updates available, too. First off, the 2023 Summer Game Fest will be taking place on Thursday, June 8th, 2023. Visiting the Summer Game Fest website reveals that it’ll be broken up over a few days. On June 8th, the main show will occur, followed by the Day of the Devs. Then, on June 11th, the Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct will be happening; pretty self-explanatory for what those are. Finally, June 12th will show off Ubisoft Forward, revealing what Ubisoft has in store for new releases.

Secondly, and a bit more relevant to those living on the West Coast, tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through Ticketmaster. Ticket prices range from $35 to $45 USD, depending on where in the theater you wish to go. Tickets will likely go very fast, so you’ll want to get on it soon.
