MSI GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB Graphics Card Pictured In Ventus 2X & Gaming X Models
NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4060 Non-Ti graphics cards haven't hit the market yet but we got a close-up of the actual cards at MSI's Computex booth.
MSI GeForce RTX 4060 "Non-Ti" Graphics Cards Might Not Be What You Think They Are!
So far, NVIDIA has only announced the GeForce RTX 4060 Non-Ti graphics card. The specs are out and even a few AIBs have also revealed their custom models early on but those are only seen with-in renders and pictures published online. The actual graphics cards are still a month away in terms of retail availability but MSI gave a chance to visitors to check out the upcoming cards early on.
The company displayed its upcoming MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming X & GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X Black OC graphics cards. Both of these graphics cards feature a custom-designed cooler & also a custom PCB solution. The Gaming X goes with a slightly bigger cooler making full use of the Gaming X aesthetics such as the clawed RGB accent plate, Twin Frozr 9 cooling with TORX Fan 5.0 & a 2-slot design that is powered by a single 8-pin connector.
The second model on display by MSI was the GeForce RTX 4060 Ventus 2X Black OC which features a more compact shroud with a 2-slot and 2-fan design. This card comes with TORX Fan 4.0, the Zero Frozr technology, a backplate, & is also powered by a single 8-pin connector which should feed its 110W TDP.
Both cards looked fairly decent and MSI said that it will be pricing them close to MSRP. However, an interesting thing was discovered as we flipped the RTX 4060 Gaming X model. The card has a label on the backside of the PCB above the connector slot that reads it as an AD106-350-Gaming GPU. It also makes use of Samsung GDDR6 memory and not Micron since they are used for GDDR6X PCB designs. The GeForce RTX 4060 Non-Ti is expected to utilize the AD107 GPU die.
The card is labeled as "EVT" which means that it was an evaluation sample and not the final variant we were hoping it to be. But I guess the main purpose of showcasing this card was to offer a glimpse of the mainstream cooling designs of MSI's Gaming X lineup which should look mostly identical to the one at the booth.
