Apple's rumored AR Headset is expected to launch sometime later this year. It was previously reported that the company could announce the headset at its WWDC 2023 event and launch it sometime later this year. To be fair, since the product has been in the rumor mill for a while, Apple employees have shown their skepticism regarding the product. Apple tester experienced AR Headset and was "blown away" by the latest hardware and software improvements
Apple's highly anticipated AR Headset will feature a whopping $3,000 price tag. The device will focus on features surrounding communication, entertainment, as well as gaming. According to the leaker Evan Blass, a tester of Apple's AR Headset stated that he was "blown away" by the device. Reportedly, the tester demoed the unit highlighting that his skepticism regarding the functionality transitioned to 'overwhelming'.
According to Blass, the leaker also stated that Apple has made major leaps since last year. Apple's AR Headset has been in development for a while now and the device has been subject to numerous potential delays. Apple seems to be taking its time as it is working to perfect the hardware as well as the software. Apple's AR Headset has been compared to the Apple Watch in terms of functionality. The headset will be capable of achieving a lot more in all departments due to its enhanced performance capabilities.
As mentioned earlier, the AR Headset will feature a $3,000 price tag for the initial model but could get cheaper down the road as technology advances. Furthermore, we have also heard that the company is working on budget variants of the headset which will launch later on. In terms of what you should expect, the AR Headset will feature two 4K microLED displays. Additionally, the device will also feature more than 10 cameras. Since the headset will not feature a built-in battery, users would have to wear the battery on their waist which will be connected to the headset with a wire.
Take note that it is too early to draw conclusions since the final word rests with Apple. We will update you on the subject as soon as further detail is available. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
