Pixel 7a Retail Packaging Finally Shows Up, Just 12 Days Before the Official Unveil

At this point, it is safe to say that the Pixel 7a is no longer a mystery. The phone leaked extensively over the past couple of weeks, including yesterday, when we posted the entire spec sheet of the device, and earlier today, when the official marketing material leaked. Now, the phone has leaked once again in retail packaging showing up in the wild.

The Pixel 7a leaks once again, this time showing up in retail packaging

The retail packaging shows two colors, black and blue, along with the phone itself and comes as a courtesy of SnoopyTech. Honestly, at this point, there is nothing about the Pixel 7a that we don't know, but these images solidify the fact that the phone exists and will be released on 10th May, later this year.

In addition to that, SnoopyTech also posted the retail boxes of Pixel 7a in blue color, which, honestly, I like a bit more than the black colorway, which has become a bit boring as of late. I wish that Google had decided to go for a matte finish because that always looks much better.

The leak also confirms almost all the design elements that you would want to know about with the Pixel 7a, including the camera visor showing a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, there is going to be a 13-megapixel camera. Aside from the blue and black, the phone will also be available in a white/cream color and a coral color that showed up earlier today. You can look at the coral color here, courtesy of Evan Blass.

The Pixel 7a will also be the first "a" series device to come with wireless charging. You are also getting a Tensor G2 chipset under the hood, a 6.1-inch 90Hz OLED panel, a choice of 128 or 256 gigs of storage with 8 gigs of RAM, and Android 13 out of the box. It is safe to say that the phone is looking like an excellent contender for one of the best mid-rangers in the market. I am hoping that Google prices it competitively so it can take the battle against the Galaxy A54, which I can confidently call one of the best mid-range smartphones in the market at the time of writing.

The Pixel 7a will be available to purchase on 10th May 2023. We will be covering the Google I/O 2023 and all the announcements that come with it. Until then, stay tuned, and we will keep you posted on everything we learn about Google's upcoming devices.
