More Users Report Galaxy S23 Cameras Producing Blurry or Soft Photos as Samsung Decides to Remain Quiet on the Matter

The Galaxy S23 series launched to generally positive acclaim from critics and users. Granted, for a lot of users, it felt like a minor upgrade over the previous generation but there are a lot of under the hood improvements that make these devices really good for those who want an excellent experience. However, users of the base and plus variant have reported a strange blur in the photos where a part of the picture taken using the main camera is out of focus. Samsung so far still has not commented on the issues, and now it seems like more users are coming forward with it.

A Reddit user shared a photo that shows a picture taken in landscape orientation using the Galaxy S23. Everything in the picutre looks exceptionally well balanced, aside from an area on the left that is noticeably softer and out of focus.

As you can see, the outlined part of the picture is out of blur/soft, and it is quite noticeable, as well. In ideal situation,s such type of a blut should not be taking place at any condition. The corners of pictures are usually soft when you take a picture but a blur that is placed randomly is not something that is common. The Reddit user in question found that a lot of other people are having the same issue. This leads one to believe that this is a hardware issue. Sadly, Samsung's reply does not inspire any confidence either as this is what a communtiy moderator had to say about the blur.

Sadly, the Samsung Moderator does not think that there is a real issue with the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+'s camera, which could be an issue for a lot of users as the company might deny recalling the devices.

Thankfully, we have seen zero complaints about the Galaxy S23 Ultra, so if you are using that phone, it is best to not worry about it. For those who are using the base version and plus version, I would highly advise that you get in touch with your local Samsung administration and see if they have an answer for what's happening with phone's camera.

Meanwhile, we will try to see if this is an issue that can be fixed via a software update or will users have to send their Galaxy S23 units back to Samsung and wait for a fix.
