iPhone 15 Will Get The Dynamic Island, But Apple Will Leave The Best Feature For The ‘Pro’

With the launch of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models, Apple is widening the gap between its standard and 'Pro' models. This is one of the reasons why the iPhone 14 saw fewer sales compared to the iPhone 13. The company will potentially keep offering differentiating elements as far as the design is concerned. We have recently come to know that even though the iPhone 15 will share Dynamic Island with the iPhone 15 Pro, only the latter will feature a higher refresh rate or ProMotion display.

iPhone 15 Pro models to exclusively feature ProMotion and Always-On capabilities, standard models to stick to 60Hz

The iPhone 14 Pro models brought a bevy of forward-facing changes that allowed it to stand tall in comparison to the standard models. According to "yeux1122", the iPhone 15 Pro models will continue to feature Always-On capabilities along with a higher refresh rate display while the standard models will stick to a 60Hz display.

A higher refresh rate display on the 'Pro' models uses an LTPO panel that consumes less power and can switch between 1Hz and 120Hz to preserve battery life. As mentioned earlier, Apple wants the high-end features to be reserved for the 'Pro' models. Nonetheless, Dynamic Island is a more than welcome addition that could boost sales.

The reason why iPhone 14 demand remains low is the lack of innovation in terms of design. Users still preferred to buy the iPhone 13 instead of the iPhone 14 because it practically gives the same outlook. Additionally, the iPhone 13 prices were slashed which further enticed users. Internally, both phones come with the A15 Bionic chip as well which narrowed down users to get their hands on the previous model.

As for what you can expect this year, the iPhone 15 Pro models will continue to rock the ProMotion LTPO panel with Always-On capabilities. Additionally, the 'Pro' models are also slated to feature solid-state buttons instead of mechanical buttons. Recent CAD renders have also hinted at the idea of a single elongated volume button instead of two separate buttons. Furthermore, the mute switch is also reported to adopt a solid-state approach instead of a mechanical switch.
