WWE 2K23 Unveils its Launch Roster of Nearly 180 Superstars, from Roman Reigns to Doink

WWE 2K23

Every year a new WWE game comes out, the question always remains – who’s going to make the cut? WWE 2K22 pared things back a bit, cutting the roster to around 160 superstars (some earlier games had over 250) and WWE 2K23 builds on that foundation. The game will launch with a core collection of 178 wrestlers, as well as Bad Bunny for those who pre-order, and alternate versions of John Cena, Batista, Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton for those who pony up for the Season Pass. Not a bad lineup! Although there are a few missing names, particularly when it comes to the Legends. Where’s Ric Flair? Where’s Curt Hennig? That said, don’t get too worried. In our full WWE 2K23 interview (which I definitely recommend you check out) creative director Lynell Jinks hinted any omissions from the launch lineup may show up later as DLC.

“People will be happy [with the DLC]. I will say if you look at our main roster when we do our roster reveals, there will be some omissions on there that you'll be scratching your head about, but just wait and see and I think most people will be happy.”

The Deluxe and Icon Editions of WWE 2K23 launch on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5 on March 14, while the standard edition launches on March 17.
