Philips reveals two next-gen 44.5-inch ultra-wide curved monitors, the 45B1U6900C and the 45B1U6900CH, offering a 1500R screen curvature and a resolution of up to 1440p. The new Philips displays are identical in specifications, but each does provide a slight difference in design.

Philips launches two new business monitors offering an ultra-wide curved screen and 32:9 aspect ratio

The Philips 45B1U6900C and 45B1U6900CH ultra-wide curved monitors utilize a VA panel and screen resolutions reaching 5120 x 1440 with an aspect ratio of 32:9. The maximum refresh rate is 75 Hz and offer a 450 nits peak brightness. The panel allows a 107% DCI-P3 color gamut with 8-bit color depth, DisplayHDR 400 support, and a Gray to Gray (GTG) response time of 4 milliseconds.

The two new Philips ultra-wide curved monitors have an adjustable stand that, from the images, offers ~5° to 15° tilt and 45° left and right swivel, and at the left of the display, Philips offers a hook that also pops out to hang a pair of headphones when not in use. The Philips 45B1U6900C and 45B1U6900CH displays are equipped with two HDMI 2.0 ports, a single DisplayPort 1.4 port, a 3.5mm audio port, and one USB Type-C port that supports 100W power supply with an additional DisplayPort Alt mode, which is becoming much more familiar with newer displays. Also equipped on both displays are Gigabit LAN ports, KVM switches (another feature becoming more common over the last year), and four USB-A 3.2 ports for additional peripherals.

The Philips 45B1U6900C differs from the 45B1U6900CH monitors in that the former offers a USB Type-B upstream port, and the latter does not but offers an integrated webcam that does popup from the top of the display and microphone that supports noise-canceling — a feature perfect for remote users while on online meetings and group chats. Lastly, the display does support both PiP and PbP for increased multitasking during use.

Philips also provides a remote for easier access to menu options and volume control, which is more accessible than cycling through tedious menus with a single or small set of button controls on the monitor.

Philips has not officially revealed the date or pricing for the 45B1U6900C and 45B1U6900CH ultra-wide curved monitors. The company considers these two monitors the "Curved Business Monitor 6000 series."
