Google Pixel 5a Follows Its Predecessor In Terms of Repaiarbility, Reveals Teardown Video

Google recently released its latest mid-range smartphone which is pretty similar to the Pixel 4a. While the Google Pixel 5a shares the same design and components, it would be equally hard to repair if you damage it. To bolster the claims, a new teardown video of the Google Pixel 5a has been shared online. The video reveals that the Pixel 5a shares the same DNA as that of its predecessor when it comes to repairability.

As mentioned earlier, the Google Pixel 4a and Pixel 5a share a very similar design. While this may be a good thing or a bad thing according to individuals, both share the same fate when it comes to repairability. The first Pixel 5a teardown video is shared by PBKreviews that aims to show how hard it is to repair the phone in case it is damaged.

According to the Pixel 5a teardown video, the only thing that is easy to replace is the display which is put together using the T4 screws. However, you should remember the placement of the screws as they come in different sizes for different slots. In order to access the internals, you would first have to remove a metal plate covering the motherboard. The battery is hard to remove as well which is held together by a single pull tap.
